Tech North Solutions is a growing and dynamic company in an evolving and exciting industry, located in Burns Lake, BC. We service a wide range of customers including local government, first nations, heavy industry, small business and consumers. We are not a retail establishment, but do carry inventory that supports and services our regular operations.

We have experienced recent growth and are expanding our services and require the assistance of a Computer Repair Technician. We are excited about our future prospects and are expanding the foundations of our business to be the best provider of IT related services in northern BC.

This position requires a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills. The basic qualifications listed below are important, but we will consider training the right type of candidate.

Job Description:

  • Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of client computer systems including: virus and spyware removal, OS installation, data recovery, software installation, hardware and peripheral installation and configuration, and computer system building and testing;
  • Coaching customers on proper use and maintenance of hardware and software;
  • Traveling to provide a complete service solution at customer sites; and
  • Providing thorough and accurate documentation of all work performed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A+ Certified
  • MCSE/MCITP Certification (desired)
  • Proficiency in peer-to-peer networks and operating systems up to Windows 7
  • Windows Server, Linux or Mac experience an asset but not required
  • Current valid driver’s license and clear driving record
